Regretting that we couldn’t make Carlos’ memorial mass in Orange County today, we honored Carlos’ life in the Nepali way. This morning we visited Boudhanath, an important Buddhist stupa in Kathmandu, in memory of Carlos. Using prayer beads, we walked clockwise around the stupa with Buddhist monks. We rang the bell at a Hindu temple, and we lit a butter lamp in his honor.
